Artist Statement: Walks of life – one of the earlier series I worked on, focuses on those little sensory and solitary moments in life. Events from long ago pull at us, things that I have read, heard, seen, I wanted to document them intuitively. At the time, I was exploring what I can achieve with digital tools, in pursuit of something simple and pure. The results are these series of visual pieces, with one thought leading into the next.
Artist Bio: Hong Kong-bred and Sydney-based Henry Hu’s artworks are personal, mercurial and focus strongly on storytelling. Each individual series consist of multiple pieces, grouped by specific concepts or stories. By experimenting with digital tools, visually Henry commits to linking something peculiar, alternative yet familiar. Various styles can be seen across series, with a recurring structure and language, the heart of each series stays consistent.
