Kathryn Winograd’s work continues to focus on the intersections of the natural and human world, and the sacred and environmental issues that surround us. She is the author of two essay collections, Slow Arrow: Unearthing the Frail Children (IPPY 2020 Bronze medalists in Essay) and Phantom Canyon: Essays of Reclamation (2014 finalist INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards). Her poetry collection, Air Into Breath, was awarded the Colorado Book Award in Poetry. Her poetry has received three Pushcart Prize nominations and a Special Mention in Pushcart Prize XXXVIII.
